Barbara Mc Elrath

Ms. Barbara McElrath was born in Walker County, Alabama on November 2,1952 to the late Mr. Denson McElrath and Mrs. Callie Odum McElrath. Her father preceded her in death.

Ms. McElrath joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church at a early age under the leadership of Rev. C. Evans. She served as the church announcer, president of the Sunbeams, and a matron faithfully until her health failed under the leadership of Rev. A.R. Hodge.

Ms. McElrath was called home to be with the Master at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham,

Alabama.

Ms. McElrath leave to cherish her memories: A loving and devoted Mother, Callie L. McElrath of Goodwater, AL; One devoted Brother, David (Juanita) McElrath, Sr. of Goodwater, AL; One Niece, Davida L. McElrath of Nashville, TN; One Nephew, David L. McElrath, Jr. of Goodwater, AL; One Great– Nephew, Richard Smith II of Nashville, TN; Three Aunts, Pearl Odum of Birmingham, AL and Ida M. Odum of Sylacauga, AL, and Flora B. Grant of Jasper, AL; Two Great– Aunts, Lillie M. Phillip of New Oreleans , LA and Mildred Daniels of Dallas, TX; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
