Lugean Greathouse

Mrs. Lugean Holyfield Greathouse was born to the union of Mr. James Holyfield and Mrs. Missouri Threatt Holyfield on November 7, 1926 in  Talladega County.

She confessed in Christ at an early age and joined St. Thomas United Methodist Church and served there until she married Mr. W.T. Greathouse on November 27, 1963 and joined St. John Baptist Church, where she served and remained until her death.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, James and Missouri Holyfield; husband, W.T. Greathouse; daughter, Mary Jean Hicks Darby; brothers, Andrew Holyfield, Jimmy Holyfield, W.C. Holyfield, Will Malone; sister, Flossie Mae Holyfield Evans.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories three loving grandchildren, Mary Darby, Lolethia Crayton, John Eddie (Rita) Darby Jr. all of Sylacauga, Alabama; six great-grandchildren, LaCarlous Jackson, Portia Jackson, Carlos Crayton, Tanaiya Crayton of Sylacauga, Alabama, Carrisa Crayton of Montgomery, Alabama, and  Daniel Darby of Los Angles, California; four great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Dora Holyfield of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
