Mrs. Mattie Jewel Odum was born to John and Jewel Bradford on June 23, 1928 in Talladega County, Alabama.
She departed this life on October 5, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memories: loving and devoted children, Sue Anderson, Linda Fuller, James Odum, Brenda Odum, Anthony Odum, Terry Odum, Marcus Odum; Twenty-Two grandchildren; Thirty-Seven great- grandchildren; Three great great grandchildren; Special Niece, Willie Mae Hamilton; and A host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will commence on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama. Interment will follow in the Sylacauga Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 Noon-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Odum will lie in repose two hours prior to services at the church.
Sunset Memorial Chapel - Childersburg, Inc. will direct the service.
