Dorothy. M. Odum, was born September 16, 1956 at Sylacauga Hospital, to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie G. Odum and Mrs. Virginia Butler Odum of Goodwater, Alabama
Ms. Odum confessed Christ at an early age, and united with the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Goodwater, Alabama.
Ms. Odum early childhood education was received in Coosa County, Alabama. She was a member of Weogufka High School class of 1974. And received a B.S. degree at the Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and later received and Accounting degree from the University of Kentucky with a Degree in Arts & Sciences class of 1981.
After the death of her Sister-in-law Janice Russell Odum, she moved back to Goodwater Alabama to help raise her niece and nephew, she then reunited with the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Odum fell peacefully asleep in God’s arms on June 25, 2026 at 11:25am.
Ms. Odum was preceded in death by her parents Willie G. Odum and Virginia Butler Odum, and sister Barbara J. Odum, and Sister-in-law Janice Russell Odum.
Ms. Odum leaves to cherish her memories, one loving brother: Willie C. Odum of Goodwater, Alabama, one loving niece: Jamelia Odum of Anniston, Alabama; one loving nephew: Charles Maurice Odum of Goodwater, Alabama; one auntie; Madge Butler of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of cousins, Church family and friends.
