Rochelle Bernice Kidd

Mrs. Rochelle Bernice Burton Kidd, was the results of interweaving of her late Parents, Lemmie (Alma) Burton. Our friend came into visibility on the earth August 3, 1934. Like all threads in an elegant display, it was necessary that Rochelle would be tested and tried. She was graduate of Howard High School in Chattanooga, TN. and product of Alabama A&M University. She married to the late Alvin Kidd and was the mother of one daughter.

It was at an early age that Rochelle was hooked up by the power of the Spirit with the thread of the Lord Jesus Christ. She responded with an enduring commitment that made her a faithful member of Gethsemane Baptist Church Chattanooga, TN. and Rising Star Baptist Church, Sylacauga, AL. She was a generous given of her time, talents and treasures to the church and community. Her brightest moment where found in joy of doing for others.

Those who feel most deeply the sharp pains of loneliness are: one daughter, Vanessa (Charles) Draws, Mobile, AL; step-children, Katherine (Billy) Cain, Calvin (Chilada) Kidd, Dallas, TX., Calvin Malone, Washington, DC, four grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Alex Smith, Chattanooga, TN, Doris Burton, Kansas City; one brother, Archie Burton, Jimmy Harris, Chattanooga, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
