Mother Tessie Mae Jordan was born on May 25, 1925 in Greenville, Alabama to Dennis and Era Trawick. Proceeded in death her parents, husband Reese C. Jordan, son Charles Harris, daughters Lucille Jordan, Recille Hall and Gracie L. Jordan, grandson Justin    Jordan, granddaughter Carla Harris, brothers Eugene Trawick and Dennis Trawick, sister Voncile Coleman, son-in-laws Cecil Hall and Michael R. Williams, daughter-in-law Mary B. Harris.

Mother Jordan, confessed her life to Christ by joining Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She retired from the Sylacauga Hospital, where she was known as a gentle loving woman. Her legacy of wisdom, principles and pride is an inspiration to all who knew her, devotion, patience and unselfishness to all who loved her.  

Mother Jordan was called from labor to reward after a lengthy illness on Saturday,  November 28, 2015.

Left to cherish loving memories is a loving and devoted family: two sons, James E. Harris and Reese (Lorine) Jordan Jr.; three daughters: Blanchie Jordan, Mary M. Williams and Mary F. Jordan; twenty one grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, one sister: Betty Bradford, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many many friends.
